When a holiday falls on Sunday

Law No. 798 provides a following-Monday legal holiday when New Year’s Day, Labour Day, Assumption, All Saints’ Day, Prince’s Day or Christmas falls on a Sunday. Because All Saints’ Day falls on Sunday in 2026, confirm the Government diary and the specific service you need when planning for Monday, 2 November.

Plan the day

What may change on a public holiday

Treat the date as a prompt to verify, not as proof that every venue will be closed. The most reliable information comes directly from the operator or institution.

Public services

Check the responsible department before visiting a counter or planning an administrative appointment. Online procedures may remain available even when offices are closed.

Transport

Holiday or Sunday timetables may apply. Review the operator’s live information for local buses, regional trains and airport connections before departure.

Shops and attractions

Opening decisions vary. Confirm the exact venue, restaurant, market or retailer rather than relying on its usual weekday schedule.

Before you go

A quick holiday checklist

A few direct checks can prevent a closed door or a missed connection.

Confirm the date

Check the current year in Monaco’s official administrative diary, especially for Easter-related holidays.

Check the operator

Use the official transport operator for timetable changes and live service information.

Reserve where possible

For restaurants and ticketed venues, confirm both opening and reservation availability.
