The project invites artists to reinterpret the eight flagpoles above the museum, transforming them into a changing exhibition space that connects contemporary art with the architecture and landscape of Monaco.
For this edition, Karina Bisch and Nicolas Chardon bring together a group of artists to revisit the spirit of the surrealist Jeu de Marseille. Their collaboration turns images and artistic references into a new sequence of flags, creating a visual dialogue between painting, symbols, chance and collective creation. The work is presented in connection with the Victor Brauner exhibition at Villa Paloma and offers visitors an additional perspective on the surrealist legacy explored inside the museum.
The installation remains on view through Sunday 3 January 2027. Villa Paloma is open from 10:00 to 18:00 while exhibitions are on, with last admission thirty minutes before closing. The museum is closed on 1 January, so the January viewing window runs on 2 and 3 January. Visitors should consult the official NMNM website for current admission information and any operational updates before attending.
