Claudio Monteverdi’s Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria comes to the Opéra de Monte-Carlo in a puppet-opera production inspired by the final chapters of Homer’s Odyssey. The story follows Ulysses as he finally returns to Ithaca, reunites with Telemachus and confronts the suitors surrounding Penelope.
