European Heritage Days – Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation
For Monaco’s European Heritage Days, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation opens Villa Girasole and its garden for a programme combining heritage, contemporary art and environmental awareness. Visitors can explore the property freely while discovering two exhibitions devoted to the polar regions and the scientific, cultural and conservation challenges they represent.
The programme includes abstract paintings by artist and environmentalist Meg O’Hara in 69° North – Greenland, alongside John Weller’s photographic series Antarctica – Peace Through Science. Two guided talks, presented in English and French, examine why polar environments are especially vulnerable and how conservation, research and international cooperation contribute to their protection.
