European Heritage Days – Pôles en péril: Protect, Conserve, Preserve
As part of Monaco’s European Heritage Days, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation presents Pôles en péril : protéger, conserver, perpétuer, a travelling conference devoted to the environmental challenges facing the polar regions and the need to protect these fragile ecosystems for future generations.
What to expect
The approximately 45-minute presentation explores the pressures affecting the Arctic and Antarctic, while highlighting the importance of scientific knowledge, conservation action and long-term environmental stewardship. The same programme is offered twice during the day in different languages.
Practical information
The conference takes place on Sunday 4 October 2026 at the Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco. The 10:00 session is in English and the 15:00 session is in French. Each session lasts approximately 45 minutes. ViewMonaco lists the first session as the event start time and includes the second session here rather than creating a duplicate event for the same programme.
About the venue
The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation is based at 16 boulevard de Suisse and works internationally on climate change, biodiversity and water-related environmental challenges. Its Monaco headquarters also hosts public programmes, exhibitions and educational initiatives.
