Emanuel Ax Piano Recital
Emanuel Ax returns to Monaco for a solo piano recital at the Auditorium Rainier III as part of the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo’s 2026–2027 Grande Saison. One of the most distinguished pianists of his generation, Ax is known for a refined approach that combines structural clarity, lyrical warmth and a deep affinity with the central European repertoire.
The programme brings together works by Robert Schumann, Franz Schubert and Frédéric Chopin, three composers whose music places the piano at the heart of intimate expression, poetic character and large-scale musical architecture. The recital offers a broad palette of Romantic writing, moving between introspection, rhythmic vitality, singing melodic lines and finely judged contrasts of colour and dynamics.
Presented in the Auditorium Rainier III, the concert offers Monaco audiences the opportunity to hear an internationally celebrated pianist in a focused recital setting, with a programme centred on three pillars of the nineteenth-century piano repertoire.
