Cinderella
Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo return to the Salle Garnier with Jean-Christophe Maillot’s celebrated interpretation of Cinderella, presented over four consecutive evenings from 22 to 25 July 2027. The production revisits the familiar fairy tale through Maillot’s distinctive choreographic language, focusing on transformation, desire, family relationships and the heroine’s journey from isolation to self-discovery.
Set to Sergei Prokofiev’s score, this version of Cinderella is one of the signature narrative works in the company’s repertoire. Rather than treating the story simply as a traditional fairy tale, the choreography combines theatrical detail, character-driven movement and a refined visual world to create a production that works both as classical storytelling and as contemporary dance theatre.
The Monaco performances take place at the historic Salle Garnier of the Opéra de Monte-Carlo, one of the Principality’s most prestigious performance venues. The same programme is scheduled across the four consecutive dates, so ViewMonaco lists it as one continuous multi-day event rather than as separate duplicate entries for each evening.
Performances are scheduled for 22, 23, 24 and 25 July 2027 at 7:30 PM. Visitors should check the official Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo website for the latest ticket availability, seating information and any programme updates before attending.
