Mareterra Guide

Discover Monaco’s newest waterfront district through contemporary architecture, landscaped public spaces, a seaside promenade, marina views and a growing selection of restaurants and boutiques.

Essential Places

A new way to walk Monaco’s seafront

Mareterra is best understood on foot. Follow the water, explore the landscaped public areas and let the architecture frame the Mediterranean views.

The Seaside Promenade

Mareterra’s promenade is the district’s most immediate attraction. It creates a broad pedestrian continuation from the Larvotto side of Monaco, with open sea views and a sequence of public spaces. For most visitors, the simplest way to understand the district is to walk the promenade slowly and explore the spaces that branch from it.

Gardens & contemporary landscape

Trees, planted areas and garden spaces are integrated throughout the district, creating a softer counterpoint to the modern residential architecture.

Choose Your Style

Choose how to experience Mareterra

Waterfront Walk

Make the promenade the focus and visit in the morning or later afternoon when the waterfront light is softer.

Architecture & Gardens

Look beyond the residences to the public landscape, planted spaces and relationship between buildings and sea.

Dining & Larvotto

Use Mareterra as an extension of a Larvotto visit, adding a restaurant or cafe stop when current openings fit your plans.

Plan Your Visit

Connect Mareterra with eastern Monaco

The most natural connection is with Larvotto. Continue west along the seafront, then use lifts and pedestrian routes if you want to return towards Monte-Carlo.

Before you go: treat Mareterra primarily as a walking and waterfront experience. Restaurant and retail openings can change, and some residential areas remain private, so respect access restrictions.

Continue exploring Monaco

Pair Mareterra with Larvotto or continue towards Monte-Carlo for a wider east-side itinerary.
