Tianyi Lu & Mao Fujita with the OPMC
Tianyi Lu and Mao Fujita join the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo for a major symphonic programme at the Auditorium Rainier III. Conductor Tianyi Lu leads the orchestra, while pianist Mao Fujita appears as soloist during his 2026–2027 residency with the OPMC.
The programme brings together music by Mikhail Glinka, Sergei Prokofiev and Igor Stravinsky, placing three distinctive Russian voices in dialogue across the evening. Glinka’s orchestral language helped shape the foundations of the Russian national tradition, Prokofiev combines virtuosity with rhythmic energy and sharply defined character, and Stravinsky transformed twentieth-century orchestral writing through colour, pulse and dramatic invention.
Fujita, recognised internationally for the clarity and spontaneity of his playing, returns to Monaco as one of the season’s featured artists. Alongside Tianyi Lu and the OPMC, this concert forms part of the orchestra’s Grande Saison and offers a substantial symphonic programme in one of Monaco’s principal concert venues.
