The Brand New Heavies + GoGo Penguin – Monte-Carlo Jazz Festival 2026
The Monte-Carlo Jazz Festival welcomes The Brand New Heavies and GoGo Penguin to the Opéra Garnier on 26 November 2026. The evening brings together acid jazz, funk and contemporary instrumental jazz in a double bill that reflects the festival’s broad musical range.
Acid jazz meets modern instrumental sound
The Brand New Heavies are closely associated with the acid-jazz movement, combining funk rhythms, soul vocals and dance-floor energy. GoGo Penguin approach jazz from a different direction, blending acoustic piano, bass and drums with rhythmic ideas influenced by electronic music and contemporary production.
Presented as one festival evening, the programme offers two contrasting live sets rather than a continuous multi-day event. It is part of the twentieth-anniversary edition of the Monte-Carlo Jazz Festival.
Good to know
The concert is scheduled for Thursday 26 November 2026 at 8:30 PM. No verified end time is published, so only the confirmed start time is shown. Ticket availability should be checked through the official ticketing channel.
