Start of the 2026 Vuelta
Monaco hosts the Grand Départ of La Vuelta 2026, beginning with the traditional team presentation on 20 August before the race action starts on 22 August with a 9.6 km individual time trial through the streets of the Principality. The opening stage starts at Place du Casino and finishes on Boulevard Albert I, while the second stage departs from Monaco on 23 August before heading into France. The programme places some of Monaco’s most recognisable landmarks at the centre of one of professional cycling’s major international events.
