Letters to Anne – Théâtre des Muses
An intimate stage adaptation draws on the remarkable correspondence exchanged between François Mitterrand and Anne Pingeot across more than three decades, revealing the deeply personal relationship behind a public figure of French political history.
The performance
Through words written between 1962 and 1995, the play gives emotional depth to the choices, hopes and private life of Anne Pingeot. Rather than a conventional political portrait, it explores love, independence, memory and the sometimes difficult space between public duty and personal conviction.
