Le Petit Prince – Family Concert
Le Petit Prince is presented by the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo as a young-audience symphonic concert at the Auditorium Rainier III. Philippe Béran conducts, with actor Joan Mompart and sand artist Marina Sosnina joining the orchestra for a musical retelling inspired by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s timeless story.
The programme features Jean-Pascal Beintus’s concert suite based on Le Petit Prince. Through orchestral colour, narration and live sand art, the performance follows the young traveller from his tiny planet into the desert, bringing to life key encounters including the Rose and the Fox. The music is designed to introduce children and families to the emotional world of the story while also highlighting the expressive possibilities of a symphony orchestra.
Recommended from age five, the concert lasts approximately one hour without an interval. It is part of the OPMC’s 2026–2027 season and is conceived as an accessible introduction to orchestral music for younger listeners and their families.
