Le Père
Florian Zeller’s acclaimed play Le Père arrives at the Théâtre Princesse Grace on Sunday 31 January 2027. The drama places the audience inside the shifting perception of an ageing father whose sense of time, place and identity becomes increasingly uncertain. Rather than observing his confusion from a distance, the play deliberately unsettles familiar points of reference, allowing spectators to experience the fragility of memory and the emotional consequences of dependency from within the character’s world.
Known internationally through numerous stage productions and the award-winning film adaptation, Le Père combines psychological precision with moments of dark humour and profound tenderness. Its structure repeatedly changes the audience’s understanding of what is real, who can be trusted and how family relationships are transformed when memory begins to fail. At the Théâtre Princesse Grace, the production forms part of the venue’s 2026–2027 season of contemporary and modern theatre.
The performance begins at 20:00. Visitors should consult the official Théâtre Princesse Grace programme for current casting information, ticket availability, access details and any final production updates before attending.
