L’Autre – Didier Caron’s Wartime Drama at Théâtre des Muses

From 10 to 13 December 2026, Théâtre des Muses presents L’Autre, a French-language wartime drama written and directed by Didier Caron. Set in April 1944, the story examines courage, secrecy and solidarity under the shadow of persecution, bringing a suspenseful historical narrative to the Monaco stage.

The experience

Samuel Rosenthal, a Jewish doctor fleeing the French Milice, seeks refuge with Abbé Jocelyn while attempting to escape toward Switzerland. As suspicion mounts and danger approaches, the priest proposes an unexpected new identity as a way to protect his guest. The encounter creates a tense relationship between personal survival, religious identity and the bonds that can form across differences. The production features Juliette Galoisy, Christophe Corsand, Miguel Vander-Linden and Didier Caron, combining elements of drama, comedy and psychological suspense.
