European Heritage Days – Musée du Vieux Monaco
During Monaco’s European Heritage Days, the Musée du Vieux Monaco opens its doors for a special two-day programme dedicated to the Principality’s local history, traditions and material culture. Visitors can explore two complementary exhibitions that look at everyday life on the Rock and at an important chapter in Monaco’s ceramic heritage.
What to see
Carrugi d’a Roca – Les rues du Rocher explores the streets, passages and urban fabric of Monaco-Ville through historical documents, images and objects connected with life in the old town. A second presentation, Les Céramiques de Monaco, focuses on locally associated ceramic production and decorative traditions, offering another perspective on the Principality’s cultural identity.
Practical information
The museum is open for the European Heritage Days on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October 2026, from 09:30 to 17:30 on both days. As the same programme is presented across the two consecutive days, ViewMonaco lists it as one continuous multi-day event.
About the venue
The Musée du Vieux Monaco is located in Monaco-Ville at 2 rue Emile de Loth, near Place des Carmes. Its collections and temporary displays are devoted to Monegasque history, traditions and the cultural memory of the old town.
