Académie Rainier III – Monte-Carlo Jazz Festival Opening Concert 2026
The Académie Rainier III opens the twentieth-anniversary edition of the Monte-Carlo Jazz Festival on 18 November 2026 with a free concert at the Opéra Garnier. Around thirty students from the jazz and contemporary music department will perform alongside their teachers in a professional concert setting.
Young musicians at the heart of the festival
This traditional opening concert gives emerging musicians from Monaco the opportunity to perform on the Salle Garnier stage as part of one of the Principality’s major annual music festivals. The programme ranges from jazz standards to contemporary and pop-influenced repertoire, highlighting both ensemble playing and the transmission of musical knowledge between students and teachers.
The concert also marks the opening night of the 2026 Monte-Carlo Jazz Festival, which celebrates its twentieth edition with an international programme spanning jazz, soul, funk, gospel and rock.
