European Heritage Days – Monaco Town Hall Open Day
For Monaco’s European Heritage Days, the Mairie de Monaco opens its historic rooms to the public for a full day combining civic heritage, music and traditional dance. Visitors can explore some of the Town Hall’s most emblematic spaces, including the Wedding Room, the Council Chamber and the Mayor’s Office, while discovering the long institutional history of Monaco’s municipal administration.
What to expect
The open day is punctuated by cultural performances throughout the programme. The Palladienne dancers perform at 12:30, the Académie Rainier III presents a morning concert, and the Cantin d’A Roca gives singing performances at 15:00 and 16:00 in the Wedding Room.
The building itself forms an important part of the visit. Dating from the sixteenth century, it has served several purposes over the centuries, including private residence, educational establishment, barracks and institutional headquarters, before becoming the seat of the Mairie de Monaco.
Practical information
The Mairie is open on Sunday 4 October 2026 from 10:00 to 17:00. Admission is free. Visitors can move through the principal ceremonial and administrative rooms during the open-day period, with performances scheduled at specific times.
About the venue
