Collective Intelligence – Florian Schönerstedt & Monaco Primary School Students
Collective Intelligence brings together artist Florian Schönerstedt and primary school pupils from Monaco in a short exhibition at Villa Paloma, exploring how imagination, museum collections and new digital tools can meet in a creative educational project.
Why This Event Matters
The project is part of the Nouveau Musée Numérique programme, developed by the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco in collaboration with Extended Monaco. During the 2025–2026 school year, CM1–CM2 pupils worked with Schönerstedt around the museum’s Madeleine de Galéa doll collection. Rather than asking artificial intelligence to invent for them, the students first wrote scenarios and prepared storyboards, then used digital tools to turn their own ideas into short films.
The Experience
Visitors can discover the results of this collaborative process and see how a historic museum collection has been reinterpreted through storytelling, moving images and contemporary technology. The exhibition offers an accessible perspective on digital creation while keeping human imagination at the centre of the work.
