Varador 2000: From Shipyard to Dakar 2027 Press Conference
Varador 2000 Shipyard & Marina Barcelona hosts an official Monaco Yacht Show press conference on 24 September 2026 focused on its partnership with Catalan rally driver Josep Pedró and the road to Dakar 2027. The session connects the worlds of superyacht refit and endurance motorsport through a shared emphasis on technical skill, self-reliance and resilience.
From the shipyard to the Dakar
Varador 2000, a family-run shipyard and marina group based north of Barcelona, is the official sponsor of Josep Pedró in the Original by Motul category of the Dakar Rally. The Monaco presentation explores the story behind the partnership, the preparations for Dakar 2027 and the values that link an unassisted rally challenge with the technical culture of a superyacht shipyard.
Access to the event
The conference is held inside the Monaco Yacht Show at Port Hercule. A valid MYS pass or accreditation is required to enter the show. As an exhibitor press conference, access to the session itself may be limited to accredited media or invited guests; a standard visitor pass permits entry to the show but does not automatically guarantee admission to the press event.

The press conference runs from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm at stand A27 on Quai Antoine Ier. Visitors should arrange their Monaco Yacht Show pass online in advance and confirm press-event access directly with the exhibitor where necessary.
