A Day of Exploration 2027
A Day of Exploration 2027 takes place at the Yacht Club de Monaco on Monday 15 March as the scientific highlight of the Monaco Capital of Advanced Yachting Rendezvous. Organised in partnership with The Explorers Club, the day brings together explorers, scientists, engineers, yacht owners and captains to examine the role of yachting in advancing ocean research and environmental knowledge.
The programme focuses on major scientific priorities linked to the marine environment, including deep-sea exploration, coral reefs, polar biodiversity and plastic pollution. Participants will share findings from research missions conducted aboard exploration yachts and discuss how vessels, crews and onboard technologies can support scientific fieldwork and long-term conservation objectives.
By connecting the yachting community with research institutions and experienced explorers, the event highlights practical ways in which private vessels can become platforms for scientific contribution, data collection and environmental awareness. The day forms part of Monaco’s wider ambition to position the Principality as a hub for maritime innovation, exploration and responsible yachting.
