Adalberto Miani Trophy 2026
The Adalberto Miani Trophy brings the Smeralda 888 Championship to Monaco for its decisive final stage from 16 to 18 October 2026. Hosted by the Yacht Club de Monaco, the regatta closes a Mediterranean season shaped by close one-design competition, tactical choices and the collective work of each crew.
The Smeralda 888 circuit travels through leading Mediterranean sailing destinations, including Saint-Tropez, Cannes, Porto Cervo and Monaco. Its format places crews in comparable boats, making consistency, precise manoeuvres and decision-making central to the result. The Monaco meeting is the culmination of that sequence and determines how the season’s leading teams finish the campaign.
The championship finale in Monaco
Racing is scheduled across three days in the waters off the Principality. According to the official event presentation, several fleet races may be organised each day depending on weather conditions. That structure rewards crews able to remain competitive across the full series rather than relying on a single result.
The championship highlights tactical judgement, crew cohesion, discipline and fair play. Small gains at the start, around the course and during manoeuvres can influence the standings, while changing Mediterranean conditions add a further strategic dimension. For spectators following the event from Monaco, the appeal lies in watching closely matched boats compete at the end of a season-long contest.
A trophy with a distinctive identity
The Monaco finale bears the name of Adalberto Miani, an important figure in the development of the Smeralda 888 series and a devoted member of the Yacht Club de Monaco. The class combines sporting ambition with the elegance associated with Mediterranean yachting, giving the concluding event a character that is both competitive and closely connected to the club’s maritime culture.
No public start time is stated for the event. Race activity remains subject to the organisers’ programme and suitable sailing conditions, so visitors should consult the official event page for the latest operational information before attending.
