Museums

Explore Monaco through marine science, contemporary art, archaeology, historic collections and specialist museums. Choose the subjects that interest you, then build them into your Monaco itinerary.

Culture in the Principality

A museum scene far more varied than Monaco’s size suggests

Monaco’s museums cover very different subjects, from the marine world and archaeology to contemporary art, automobiles and the Principality’s postal and monetary heritage.

The museums are also spread across different districts. Monaco-Ville is home to the Oceanographic Museum, Fontvieille contains several specialist collections, while Villa Sauber and Villa Paloma form the two venues of the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco.
