SUMMARY:Family Art Workshop at Villa Paloma — 26 December 2026
DESCRIPTION:\nInformation being updated — awaiting official confirmation. The museum publishes a regular Saturday family-workshop programme, but the individual session on 26 December 2026 has not yet been confirmed for the holiday period. The details below are preliminary and may change. Please consult the organiser’s official announcements before making plans.\n\nArt and discovery during the Christmas holidays\nFamilies spending the festive season in Monaco can explore an engaging programme of creative activities at Villa Paloma, one of the exhibition spaces of the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco (NMNM). The museum publishes a regular family-workshop schedule on Saturdays at 3:00 pm while exhibitions are on view. Saturday 26 December 2026 falls during the run of the museum’s Victor Brauner exhibition, making it a potential holiday-week opportunity to enjoy art together in Monaco-Ville’s neighbouring Jardin Exotique district. This date is based on the published recurring programme, not on a separate announcement specifically naming 26 December; visitors should confirm the session with the museum before travelling.\nWhat the family workshops involve\nNMNM’s family workshops invite children and accompanying adults to engage with ideas and artistic techniques linked to the exhibitions. Villa Paloma is presenting Victor Brauner, The Magical Adventure, dedicated to an artist closely associated with Surrealism, throughout the period. The museum has previously described activities drawing on playful collective drawing and imaginative creatures, but has not published a reliable individual workshop title or theme for 26 December. No particular activity, instructor, materials package or duration is therefore guaranteed for this date.\nDate and practical details\n\nProposed session: Saturday 26 December 2026, under the museum’s standing Saturday family-workshop programme.\nPublished weekly start time: 3:00 pm (15:00); finishing time is not specified.\nVenue: Nouveau Musée National de Monaco – Villa Paloma, 56 Boulevard du Jardin Exotique, 98000 Monaco.\nParticipants: the NMNM family-workshop programme is intended for children aged approximately 7–12 accompanied by at least one adult; check suitability for younger children directly.\nCost: workshop participation is free after museum admission, where applicable. Standard museum admission is listed at €6, with exemptions including visitors under 26.\nBooking: places are limited; contact the museum at public@nmnm.mc to confirm this specific Saturday session and reserve if required.\n\nAbout the venue\nVilla Paloma belongs to the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco, the Principality’s institution for modern and contemporary artistic heritage. Located above the centre of Monaco on Boulevard du Jardin Exotique, the villa presents exhibitions and educational initiatives that connect visiting audiences with art and its broader cultural context. The current Victor Brauner exhibition provides a distinctive Surrealist backdrop for a family visit during the festive period.\nPlan your visit\nThe museum states that its exhibition-season opening hours are 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, with the last admission half an hour before closing; Christmas Day itself is a closure date. Its weekly Saturday workshop information is not a date-specific confirmation for 26 December. Before making plans, ask the NMNM to confirm that the session will go ahead, its precise subject, any reservation requirement, and arrangements for visitors who need step-free access. Public transport and nearby parking can be considered, but specific workshop accessibility has not been independently confirmed.\nEditorial verification\nAdvance listing — date-specific confirmation pending. This draft is based on the museum’s official regular Saturday schedule and the published exhibition dates. It must not be described as individually confirmed for 26 December 2026 until the museum confirms the holiday-period session.\n
