SUMMARY:Mural Painting Workshop – Ages 10–14
DESCRIPTION:\nYoung participants aged 10 to 14 can explore the art and technique of mural painting during a creative workshop linked to the Mémoire des lieux exhibition on 28 October 2026.\nUnderstanding how a fresco is made\nThe session introduces the principles of traditional fresco painting, a technique used since Antiquity and refined during the Renaissance. Participants discover how a wall surface is prepared with lime-based plaster and how pigments are applied while the plaster remains fresh.\nAfter this introduction, the group moves into a practical activity and works together on a collective mural using acrylic paint. The workshop combines art history, experimentation and collaborative creation in a format adapted to older children and teenagers.\nGood to know\nThe workshop takes place on Wednesday 28 October 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM. It is intended for participants aged 10 to 14. Participation is free, subject to available places, and the event is listed as accessible to people with reduced mobility.\nAbout the venue\nThe Salle d’Exposition du Quai Antoine Ier at 4 Quai Antoine Ier is a Monaco cultural venue used for temporary exhibitions and educational programmes devoted to the Principality’s artistic and architectural heritage.\n\n
