SUMMARY:Niki de Saint Phalle: Between Revolt and Dreams
DESCRIPTION:\nThe Médiathèque de Monaco welcomes Cécilia Auber on 5 November 2026 for an evening conference exploring the life, work and creative universe of Niki de Saint Phalle. The talk offers an accessible introduction to an artist whose practice moved between sculpture, painting, performance, public art and deeply personal forms of visual expression.\nAn artist between rebellion and imagination\nCécilia Auber examines the tensions that shaped Saint Phalle’s work: revolt and play, violence and colour, autobiography and collective experience. The conference is designed as a cultural encounter rather than a formal academic lecture, giving the audience context for understanding the artist’s best-known visual language and the ideas that sit behind it.\nThe event forms part of the Médiathèque de Monaco’s November programme of free cultural activities, which includes talks, screenings, literary encounters and public discussions throughout the month.\nGood to know\nThe conference is scheduled for Thursday 5 November 2026 at 6:30 PM. Admission is free and open to the public. No verified end time is published, so only the confirmed start time is shown.\nAbout the venue\nBibliothèque Louis Notari is part of Monaco’s municipal media library network and hosts cultural talks, screenings, literary events and public programmes at 8 Rue Louis Notari in Monaco.\n\n
