SUMMARY:Musical Happy Hour – Silvestrov, Smetana & Beethoven
DESCRIPTION:The Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo continues its Musical Happy Hour series on Tuesday 26 January 2027 with an early-evening chamber-music programme performed by musicians of the OPMC. The concert brings together works by Valentin Silvestrov, Bedřich Smetana and Ludwig van Beethoven, connecting three very different musical languages within the close, responsive setting of a chamber ensemble.\nSilvestrov’s reflective modern voice, Smetana’s Romantic character and Beethoven’s enduring place at the heart of the chamber repertoire create a programme built on contrast rather than a single stylistic period. The Musical Happy Hour format is particularly well suited to listeners who enjoy hearing individual OPMC musicians in smaller combinations, where phrasing, texture and interaction can be experienced at close range. It also offers visitors to Monaco a concise cultural event before dinner or an evening elsewhere in Monte-Carlo.\nThe concert begins at 18:30 at Auditorium Rainier III. As programmes and ticket inventories can change, visitors should check the official OPMC page before attending for final instrumentation, seating and booking information.\n
